I have to give Price's 5 stars because the food and the service are excellent. Ronni has been my server most of the time and she's great but I haven't been there in a while. It's a little drafty in the winter but most places are, and the building is older. On to the food. Crabs have always been excellent and the one day I didn't get them it's because our server told me they weren't too good that day. I appreciate the honesty. No big, there's plenty of other great food on the menu. Aside from getthing the crabs (Price's spice is amazing too) the crab cakes, imperial crab (although they didn't have it last few times I was there, Mac & Cheese-holy moley!, coleslaw, any of the fish is cooked perfectly. I know I've had more but there's nothing on the menu I wouldn't order. most of the time I'm concentrating on cracking crab though.

I love the nostalgia of this eatery. Nice being close to the Susquehanna River while here, the food is always pleasant and intellegent servers who know what's on the menu. I should go here more often. You need to have a couple of hours to relax, have a good time and take in the atmosphere, etc.

Quick trip off 95. Decent view is Susquehanna River. Quaint old school Chesapeake Bay restaurant. Decent selection on menu. Fish Tacis were TERRIBLE and looked like something I could have made at home. Service was reasonable, but not great. Prices were kinda high.

Based on our experience yesterday, our group's recommendation is: go someplace else. We had a reservation for a table and for crabs. It's one of the few places around that lets you reserve crabs and we thought that was a good idea for a busy summer afternoon. I gave my phone number with the reservation. We arrived 10 minutes early to find that they had no crabs. Seriously? I said that they should have called me to let me know. There was no distinct reaction (like "I'm sorry"). We were starving so we decided to stay. I'd read the other reviews on Yelp and advised our group to stay away from the fish tacos and the tiny crab cakes. Here are a few more things to stay away from: - Steamed Shrimp - where in MD would you find extremely small, overly seasoned shrimp already out of the shell when you order 1/2 lb of steamed shrimp? Price's may be the only place; other restaurants steam them IN THE SHELL because they stay plump and are delicious and the salty/tangy Old Bay seeps delicately through the shell. The ones at Price's were limp and tasted terrible. I was starving so I just ate them. I wish I had taken a picture - you wouldn't have believed it. - Seafood Mac & Cheese - my friend found this to be one note and thus boring. Huge pile of pasta - not so much seafood - Roni's salad - this actually looked very nice when it was served. There was a good sized ball of crab meat on top. After my friend got to the 2nd layer of lettuce, he found it was all brown. - Seafood Au Gratin - this dish was served to one of our group a good 15 minutes after all the rest of us had received our entrees. The restaurant was EMPTY. Really? Couldn't get all the meals served at the same time? The good parts: - Wedge salad was good and fresh - Cream of crab soup was excellent. - Blue Crab Ale was tasty and cold (this is the only "craft" beer they have) The place is run down looking; the vinyl tablecloths are gross and it smelled like something died outside the door.

Awesome experience! Ronnie was super helpful and showed me the right way to clean the crab. Apparently they don't take Yelp coupons on holiday weekends.

If you're looking for that Crab Shack feel, then this is the place for you. The Servers were friendly, however, the service was a little slow. The crab fries were so good! A must get! Jumbo lumps of crab meat and just the right amount of cheese. We had to dab more old bay seasoning though...just bc crab fries aren't crab fries unless you can TASTE that old bay! Lol. We had the Crabcake sandwich and seafood Mac and cheese. The Crabcake was okay. Not a lot of filler. Which was a plus. But not too much seasoning AGAIN. As you can see in the picture, it wasn't a big size either. The Mac and cheese was good. Beware if you are lactose intolerant as I am lol. But it was worth it! Our friends had the steamed crabs, which I would have rather had instead of the Mac and cheese though. Too bad I was too lazy that day, because they said they were delish! We ended the meal with a slice of Key Lime pie. That...that was sooo darn good! The crust was amaze-balls! All and all, the place was ok. One for the books. But don't think we will return. Tip: yelp's coupon apparently isn't honored on Fridays and Saturdays. Wished they had mentioned that somewhere. Lol

Great place to grab a beer and dinner. Since the new management took over it has been fantastic. The outdoor dining area looks out on the Chesapeake Bay. Parking is plentiful and the food is tasty. They have a special seasoning for the crabs too.

Husband and I were excited to try the seafood because we saw the reviews looked good. Went one night an hour before they closed and saw a "Closed" sign on the door. We noticed people were eating around the side door so we asked if they were still serving. They rudely told us no with zero explanation and just looked at us weird. We had a $25 gift certificate so decided to try again a few weeks later. After waiting five minutes at the front to be seated with no acknowledgement we were finally seated. The menu was mundane at best. Cream of crab soup tasted like sweet potato soup. Our starch side was boxed scalloped potatoes and vegetable of the day canned French style green beans. The fried shrimp wasn't bad but nothing special or memorable. Oh and there were also flies all over the place.

But be warned: smallest crabcake I have ever been served. More like a crab meatbal. Everything else our party of 6 ordered was fantastic! Waitress/owner would not stop chatting and let us eat and talk amongst ourselves. Annoying!

If I could give it zero stars I would. Came in with a reservation and waited almost 2 hours to get our food (which never came). The waitress kept on telling us it would be right out and we waited and waited. Finally we asked one more time, she said it would be a minute and still no food. We got up and left. Honestly if it was more busy I would understand but half the tables around us were empty. Plus it is cramped inside, they charge for refills on drinks.... Just overall not a good place. They clearly do not value their customers and the service is TERRIBLE.

Great food and staff. Down home feel with the dining tables covered in brown paper. I had the Crab Melt sandwich. Lots of crab. The Seafood Gumbo (soup of the day) was outstanding

We were driving from the south back north and found this place on Yelp and partly came because of the discount check in offer. But they would accept it. Also they charge for each ice tea. Otherwise the food and service were good, except for the cole slaw.

The food was plentiful but the menu was very basic. The coupon/deal that I had was useful but due to the lack of choices I didnt spend $80. Its a nice whole in the wall place but I guess I expected more.

Went today and the overall experience was fair. The food was good. The waitress was ok. The prices were HIGH. The menu on here is old and prices have changed. Suggested food: Mac and Cheese, Blackened chicken PO Boy, gumbo Here's a couple things to keep in mind... - no free refills on fountain drinks my fault for assuming ( with 3 kids ouch) - tip included with 5 people ... THIS INCLUDES KIDS - the price the waitress quoted me on a particular item was wrong by almost $2 . Overall: I may go back... But a little irritated about the price gouging.

The atmosphere is just so so. The staff is really friendly and eager to help. I wanted some MD crab but wasn't confident in my shelling crab abilities. Dorothy (waitress) jumped right in. Delish and fun!

Food had gone down hill probably why they have gone the coupon route. Seafood Mac and cheese was expensive given the amount and quality of the seafood. The fish and chips were eh. The fries that came with it were frozen food quality. Waitress was nice enough but she didn't tell us the specials until we had the menus for a long time. .. Overall blah

I really enjoyed Price's! I was alone on business so researched the area and found this the most highly recommended place and for good reason. It is quaint, classic, waterside-ish, old, cozy... The staff accommodating and easy going but not slacking. Just a small town relaxed feel that leaves you alone but pays just enough attention to you without seeming inattentive. The waitresses are cute too. The layout of the place is very much an old beach house turned restaurant with rooms and decks added as they grew. Very cool nautical/shore feel to it. The crabs (I ordered 6 jumbo) were great. Full, steamed right, spiced right. Cold beer. Warm fries. I was in heaven. I will be back and I would love to bring friends!

I've been here half a dozen times or so and I've generally had decent experiences, but my meal yesterday was a disaster. It started out well...the cream of crab soup was good, as were the corn fritters. We ordered a dozen jumbo crabs and a platter of fried shrimp. The shrimp were terrible...obviously frozen product, and tasted like something you'd find in the freezer section of your local grocery store. The crabs took forever to cook, and looked beautiful on the platter...until we ate the ones on top and got to the second layer, where the crabs were considerably smaller, and many were missing claws. We pointed it out to the waitress, who shrugged and totally ignored our concern. This would have been merely annoying if the crabs were good, but they were as bad as I've ever had there. Mealy, over-seasoned, and lacking in body meat. I know that late March isn't exactly prime crab season, but if the quality was low the prices should have been lowered accordingly. Were they just a bad batch, or had they spent a long time in the freezer? I don't know the answer. When we got the bill, we were charged for an extra beer we didn't order, and this is the kicker...I had asked for some melted butter for the seafood, and they charged me a dollar for it! I have never in my entire life been charged for melted butter at a seafood restaurant. I might have just considered it a bad day, and given it another chance in the future, but the waitress was so uninterested in our concerns, and blew us off so completely that I see no reason to ever go again.

Location, Location, Location! That is typically what a realtor would tell you when you are buying a house that drives the cost up. So needless to say with this since they get a view of the river their food was more expensive than others. First time to Maryland everyone advised me to try the Crabcakes so I tried 3 places I rate them #3 of 3. Went there on a Thursday evening it was pretty slow so I guess they didn't have a full staff and they were overwhelmed their was 8 of us. On the way to the bathroom the waiter was yelling at the waitress as she was ringing someone up this man has been waiting for a long time to get his order taken hurry up she said you see i'm cashing someone out hold on. He said dammit I didn't sign up for this shit...well that was pretty unprofessional! LOL. So they were lacking in the service department very slow only came by twice to check on us got 1 refill. Food wise. for $17 1 crabcake plate! The crab cake was small it could fit in the palm of my hand and I'm a girl so thats a fairly small comparison. Super overcooked asparagus I mean i picked it up with more fork and it wilted down it was so soggy. The best thing on the plate was the mashed potatoes and thats pretty sad. The biscuit wasn't soft either just kinda hard and toasted. I posted a picture you can see the biscuit was bigger than Crabcake whomp, whomp. :-/

We liked the crabs so much last year we rushed back this year. Maybe we went to early. We also bought the $20 for $50 or whatever it is on yelp, just an FYI you can't use on Friday or Saturday. Got a dozen medium for $60. The crabs were light and very watery. They didn't have that nice seasoned taste. I over heard the waitress telling other tables they were out of different foods. I am really hoping it is because this is the beginning of the season and this place isn't on a down hill slide...... Oh I also have I have to mention, our waitress forget to put our order in for 45 minutes, so they honored our yelp coupon thing. I guess that was the least that they could do. The staff wasn't as friendly this time. We will go back later in the season hopefully things will be running smoother then.

Menu is small, but that's ok because we came here just for crabs. It was very expensive in my opinion, and I definitely do not hesitate to splurge when we're traveling. About $80 for a dozen large crabs. We ordered a basket of fries, cole slaw, and the corn fritters. The basket was a very small and cost $6, and the cole slaw came in those tiny plastic cups and was about 3 bites; what a joke. Dinner was well over $100 and was good, but not great for the price. We wanted to sit outside but it was closed for a private party. The inside had a funky smell. Service was ok. The hostess was standoffish and the server was friendly but not helpful. I think she tried to upsell us on the food. We should have trusted our gut and not stayed!

On a sunny Sunday afternoon, our only requirements of a spontaneous lunch date were outdoor seating, cold beer, and good food sans the pretentious atmosphere. Price's offers just that. The broiled crabcake sandwich was perfection. The coleslaw was good, though the portion minimal. We started with the seafood mac n cheese special which was heavenly after a shake or two of old bay, but the $24 price tag was a little surprising. The waitress was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. It was the perfect sunday afternoon atmosphere and the food was very tasty. The local IPA is worth a try, too.

-Menu with minimal choices. Pretty expensive but not worth the price. -Fish not cooked thoroughly, raw almost. -Cauliflower frozen and substituted for green beans which they ran out of, without asking me if this was okay. -No CRABS?! -Maryland Crab soup w

Take out frozen soft-shells! Thank you!!! We drove towards the bay from Pennsylvania in hopes of coming home with some soft shells. Landed at the light house in Havre de Grace and asked a couple of guys fishing from the dock where to get some crabs. They sent us to Price's and it was awesome! Brown paper on the tables with piles of hard shells in the middle. My kind of place! Be aware! They had turned down a couple of people without reservations as they only had enough crabs for their reservations (I guess that means the crabs are FRESH!) but they had some cleaned soft shells in their freezer that they were happy to pack up for me. By the time we got home, they had thawed and were fantastic after a little old bay and saute! Thank you, Price's!

Our party was the first to arrive for a quiet Fri. lunch. The place was cute and spotless. I ordered the crab imperial w/ home made cheesy potato gratin and string beans while my friend ordered a dozen of large steam crabs. The potato gratin was very heavy and the string beans were a bit too mushy. However, the crab was YUMMY! Lotsa old bay and Price's own spice mix. Our waitress was friendly and quick to remove the crab shells without being evasive. I'd definitely go back, especially with the Yelp and Restaurant.com offers.

Wow. So disappointed. Worst service I may have ever experienced. Arrived to a half-empty dining room and patio. We were so excited and unfortunately wound up with the world's most inexperienced or ambivalent server. We weren't given menus when we were seated, instead they were brought when our waitress first arrived 10 minutes later, after she asked for our order. Uh, no menus? We asked for paper on the picnic table twice (waited for a half hour and until our food was brought out to get it, which was comical to manage, with the table full of food). When we were brought menus, our waitress came out 3x within 2 minutes to see if were ready to order (generally I would like to read the menu first). She didn't know if they had corn on the cob, a seasonal item, or milk for my daughter. We ordered a few appetizers as our entree but were asked 3 times if we wanted them before my daughter's meal. The answer, each time, was no. We waited at least 30 minutes until the food came, and quite frankly an excellent meal could have overcome most of this, but the food was just ok. And our server dumped an order of hush puppies on the (bare) picnic table as she brought the food. She offered to bring another order but we were not willing to wait any longer with an antsy two year old. The kick to the gut was when a new waitress came on and welcomed a recently seated party next to us with a rundown of the specials (including corn on the cob?) and they all sounded awesome. Except she also had to tell the recently-seated party that they had no crabs. Yes, at 2:30 in the afternoon on a Saturday in June, a crab house has no crabs. What an awful experience. Such a shame too because the place has a cool old school crab house vibe.

I have been looking for a crab shack between DC and Philadelphia to serve as a meeting point with our daughter. I think we have found it. Price's is a wonderfully funky joint, tucked away in a back corner of Havre de Grace. Warned by several yelp reviews, I called ahead for reservations and ordered a dozen of the biggest crabs, half with Price's spices and half with Old Bay" . At 12:30 on a Sunday afternoon we were among the first there so the reservations probably weren't necessary. We were seated outside and Price's is dog friendly so our wiener didn't have to roast in the car. I ramble... now for the important part... food and drink.... The crabs were superb. Big fresh succulent arthropods. I've had lots of different crabs in many different parts of the world and I think that Blue Crabs can be the best tasting. These were the best of the best. Now the next question is Old Bay or Price's house boil. I'm going to opt for the house spice if for nothing else its uniqueness. At first I thought the crabs were still muddy because of the black residue on there shells. Turns out it was the Price's spices a simple combo of salt and black pepper with lots of the later. They must have run a train car of pepper form McCormick's to Prices in the old days. Other items ordered were great as well. The crab melt on a pretzel roll got a 5 from Jamie and both MK and Cait thought the crab cake sandwich was the best they have ever had. High praise from some jaded palates! Crab fritters were OK and the hush puppies were good. I have no idea what Price's wine list is like as we washed it all down with an excellent IPA on draft. Service was friendly. I would give Price's a 4.5+ and perhaps on a number of repeat visits it will be a 5. It is well Worth a trip and I intend to come back.

Soft shell crab special was phenomenal. Crab cake was delicious and actually made mostly of crab (very little bread crumb filler). Service was exceedingly friendly. Can't think of a compelling reason not to hie this place 5 stars...

My family and I stopped here after while traveling from VA back to PA. We came here for the sole purpose of eating some hot steamed crabs, and boy were they spot on. They were the largest juiciest crabs we had in years. I believe they were only larges but they could have easily passed for jumbos. You can order the crabs with Prices seasoning or Old Bay. Since we are traditionalists we ordered Old Bay, but I got a side of Prices because I had to try it. The Old Bay was perfect as always and I really enjoyed the Prices seasoning, but everyone else said it was too salty. We actually called ahead to order the crabs because we didn't want to wait too long to eat, but it still took awhile, so I highly recommend calling ahead. The whole theme of the place is great they even have the brow paper on the tables so clean up is easy breezy! They have an outdoor deck and a bar so you can choose where you'd like to eat. The whole menu looks phenomenal, but since we like to eat steamed crabs and we haven't found another good place yet, we are going to stick to the Maryland crabs! The only bad note was the service, the waitress was not that quick or attentive, but honestly with how the crabs are, I'm not sure that really mattered to any of us. I highly recommend this place for crabs and beer so check it out!

Hard to find place at the north end of the quaint business district. Yelp-linked menu is old and not in effect. Waitress was young, a bit green, and upbeat. Hostess was welcoming. Crabs seem to be their specialty, but we weren't in the mood to wrestle a crustacean. Good cheap bottled beer special, and the beer was cold. Food was good.

Purchased the yelp special ($40 for $20), only to be jipped by the waitress. I received $40 off the bill, but then she charged up gratuity for a party of 3. She was rather rude about the charge when I ask about it. Very loud and obnoxious. Nevertheless, we ordered crabs -- about $90 + beer. Fryer was NOT working so nothing else could be ordered. Husband (who is not a seafood fan) ordered the very bland hamburger, but what do you expect if you go to a seafood joint? Definitely wouldn't go back. Wasn't impressed. I have had better in Dundalk, MD . . .

About everything is wrong here! This is what I submitted to Yelp to help their information: Noise Level is High and goes to Extremes when people are using wooden mallets on wooden tables to bust open crabs! Price/Expense should be $$$ not $$. Yes even for a seafood joint. Drinks come in smaller than college disposable red beer cups with no free refills and no warning until you ask for one and then they ask (upsell) if you want a pithure. Gratuity is automatically added to your bill. --- When you walk in we were asked if we had a reservation. We did not. It then took two+ minutes for her to come back and lead us to the back room with a lot of empty tables. She was also rude in answering our questions about the place and unhelpful when we wanted to see a menu before we sat down, walking away the first time we asked. From order to table it took over 40 minutes with a less than half full restaurant. My meal was panko breaded shrimp. Unfortunately this restaurant saw fit to put them on a fresh cut juicy slice of dark green lettuce. Even if I was a fan of lettuce, which I'm not, it completely changes the taste! Then again even the shrimp on top of other shrimp didn't taste anywhere near fresh. They tasted like older frozen shrimp, which for the price, and the fact it's a seafood restaurant on a bay isn't acceptable. Also the fries that came with it were obviously crinkle cut fries out of a bag! My father, that I was dinning with, also commented that his meal was not fresh seafood. We didn't have crabs. Which other reviewers seem to like here. But they're cooked and served the same way here as any other place around the bay. In conclusion pick another seafood restaurant in the area even if you want crabs. Because the service and nickel and diming you to death isn't worth it even with the current Yelp $20 for $40 promotion!

Ronni, the manager, graciously accommodated our requests. Excellent gumbo, & very good steamed crabs. The price of 1 dozen medium steamed crabs was only $10 more than we would have paid for 1 dozen live medium crabs to steam at home. Very reasonable. We also enjoyed the bargain local Blue Crab IPA pitcher & side cheese fries. A good time was had by all.

Yummy food and friendly service!! Crab fritter appetizer was tasty and crunchy, and the spicy mayo dipping sauce was awesome. We split the shrimp po boy and crab melt for entrees and both of us are wobbling out completely stuffed and satisfied! Got a coupon deal ($10 for $20) thru Yelp, which made the meal an excellent deal!!

Never again. I got the crab sandwich, maybe I am pampered by G&Ms in Linthicum, but this was the worst. I prefer the McDonalds fish sandwich over this thing. The fish sandwich is not greasy and it is well worth the money. The tartar sauce was out of a condiment container - the waitress took the lid off the container and gave it to me. The coleslaw was in a little container too. I see below I had to pay for refills... refills in a Solo cup. The Key Lime Pie was good - but who goes to a restaurant for KLP. Then I had diarrhea later. Definitely not worth the money.

Took a u13 baseball team and parents from ct. Service was awesome and waitress was very patient with kids and crab cracking rookies. Crabs were awesome and especially liked the ole bay seasoning. Price's provided the local laid back crab eating experience we were looking for. For dessert, check out bomboys for home made ice cream.

So... Food was good and so was the environment but I asked for a coke and was given a Pepsi. I realize that is trivial but I was not told that it would be Pepsi, then I was asked if I wanted another but was not told you have to pay for a refill. When I showed my yelp discount they said they could not accept it, even though they saw it on my phone. They insisted the discount could have been counter fitted. Beside $24 for a seafood mac and cheese that had barely any seafood in it is a little too high.

Price's is exactly what you want in a crab shack. It's right by the water, it's small, the staff is friendly, the beer is cheap and the crabs are delicious and plentiful. They also have some wonderful other foor like seafood mac and cheese. This restaurant is one of my favorite parts of Havre de Grace and a big reason I keep going back to visit.

Just passing through the area, saw that yelp had a coupon and decided to stop in for some blue crabs. They were fantastic, very juicy. The waitress Dorothy couldn't of been nicer, she showed us how to get the meat out easier Had a great time, but next time I would definitely call my order in ahead of time, as it took nearly 40min for the crabs to get to the table.

Price's Seafood is awesome! Very hospitable, courteous staff and great food. I recently organized a large excursion to Price's Seafood. We had 40+ people all seated on a nice, covered outdoor deck. We ordered several bushels of crabs, corn and crab-cheese fries. Everything was good though our hands were covered in Old Bay, salt and pepper by the end. We would definitely come back here. Definitely, call ahead and reserve crabs if you have a large group.

This is my new place to get hot, steamed crabs. Make sure you call the morning of the night you want dinner and reserve your crabs ahead of time. Crabs def. get pricey but they're so delicious and the season ends of quickly, so I try to take advantage while I can. This place looks small on the outside but it fits a lot of people in it. We have taken 2 large groups of friends here on separate occasions and everyone loved the crabs. We usually get them with old bay seasoning but it can start to burn your mouth with all the spice after a while, so its good to get half plain and half with seasoning to even it out. We usually order the jumbo crabs since there's more meat for all of your efforts. We average about 3-4 crabs per person before we're full. Ordering some corn on the cob went really well with the crabs. You honestly don't need to order any more food to get full.

Stopped for a family dinner on the way home from DC to NYC. Best crab we've ever had, and my husband grew up summering with grandma in Savannah, and it was her specialty. The server in the back room was lovely and even sat down with our son to tutor him on the proper mechanics of crab eating. The game was on and the guys from the kitchen popped out during good plays, and they were sweet. Very clean, incredible crab, wonderful staff, and a warm and festive atmosphere. Were going to make it our regular stop when passing through.

Best crab I have eaten in the northern Baltimore area. The place is small, in a small town but the flavor of the stuff was damn good. I kind of pigged out here, just a little. Here is what I had, yes its a lot but I am nearly 340 lbs and I have high cholesterol so I am considered at a healthy BMI for southern standards. Fried Fish sandwich. Crabby fries 6 Louisiana crabs (the big ones) 1 cup of fish soup. total was around 60 bucks with tip. Fish sandwich was decent I give it 7/10. Crabby fries also decent, kind of large but for about 9 bucks what I expected. Fish soup, forgot the name its popular has shrimp and sausage in it. Pretty good. Best for last, crabs. So good, nice and spicy and the meat was really good. Perhaps the best crab I have ever eaten on the east coast. I say east coast because I like Alaskan King Crab. Overall I am glad I happened upon this place, I was pleasantly surprised with what I had here and the price. The view is nothing special, but that doesnt matter when you are consuming the amount of food I mentioned above. In my 30 minute glutton fest I rarely had time to look up.

We were on our way to a business trip from NJ to DC and stopped in this place for lunch. It is conveniently located right off 95. We both had the crab and seafood gumbo which was exceptional and hd a nice kick. I had a the large boiled crabs with half of them their house seasoning and half with old bay added. They were terrific. My business partner hd some hushpuppies and crab cake. He loved the hushpuppies and the crab cake was good not great. The waitress was gracious nd very attentive.

I'm pretty picky when it comes to dining out, but I knew this place would be a memorable experience when I walked in and saw the paper table clothes (for cracking the crabs) and a sign that read "voted best seafood dive in Maryland." Any restaurant that relishes in earning a "dive" reputation has to be good! The other reviewers summed this place up well: local joint, high-quality food, wonderful service, a good mix of clients, a little quirky, welcoming environment, etc. I was a little overdressed for the place, but still got the warmest of welcomes. I was so impressed with our server, Roni, because (1) she rattled off about 10 specials, all of which sounded delicious and (2) had a salad on the menu named after her that she created in her kitchen. She was also more than happy to take our Yelp discount despite the fact that we had just bought it ten minutes earlier and didn't print the voucher. I'm chiming in on Yelp because my friend and I were two of the very few people in Price's that did not order crabs, which is probably shameful given Price's reputation for crabs. But no matter, everything we ordered -- steamed shrimp, friend oysters, and seafood pasta -- was excellent. So definitely give this place a try. Even though it's not in the heart of town and has a little bit of a dive feel, you won't regret it. For what it's worth, after we paid the bill at Price's, my friend and I went to Laurrapin Grille to check it out since that was the other restaurant we debated eating at. We had dessert and coffee... and all I can say is thank god we chose Price's. There's a Laurrapin Grille in every town, but only one Price's, I guarantee it.

Found this place by chance, taking a different route into Havre de Grace. Crab fritters like small crab cakes, chicken/crawfish gumbo, crab melt, and a soft shell crab sandwich . Excellent food. Wait staff friendly & helpful. Good service. Definitely an old style crab house, a place to visit!

We had a large group of 30-(-13 were under age 12), and went here on a recommendation of an acquaintance-got a little nervous when we first saw the place, small on the outside but they had a huge deck which had plenty of room- Well, it is the BEST- we are from CT so we don't do steamed crabs, but we got a couple dozen and tried them, guess you have to be brought up with that culture. But we loved the cream of crab soup, the ceasar salad with crab, shrimp and scallops was FABULOUS as was everything else. If I am ever back in MD we will go out of our way to go back.

I have mixed reviews on this place. I had heard alot of hype about this place so I was very excited to go. IT is a cool looking, quaint little crabhouse with a decent view of the water. The staff were very nice and attentive. We were told to call ahead with our crab order. We called in a dozen of the large crabs. She said she wasnt sure if they would have them in but we would get some. We ended up getting the medium's which was ok, but slightly disappointing. We asked for the old bay vs the prices seasoning but feel like we got both. It was very good but also pretty spicy, not a big deal for me, but the girl did not enjoy it as she is not into spicy food. All in all, this place is good and I would return, but it will not be first choice for crab houses.

Crab soup was good. Caesar salad with crab was also good. This is a crab shack. Not fancy at all.

Call ahead for steamed crabs! They were only available for reservations so we ended up ordering crab cakes, crab melt and cream of crab soup. All of which were delicious. We were disappointed that we didn't get to eat steamed crabs but then again we tried other things on the menu. Definitely going back, but calling first!

We received excellent service. For prime time dining, make sure you make a reservation for your table and reserve your crabs to insure you can get the count you want. For instance, we have found that folks that reserved their crabs received them within minutes of ordering while others had to wait up to 1 hour. The crab soups are good with the cream of crab being less thick than I usually think of a cream soup or bisque. The cod sandwich and shrimp Po Boys were good as well. I rated the price based on 2 people sharing a dozen crabs and getting a soup or salad. Consider that a dozen medium blue claws will cost you ~$36.00 a dozen. After you each, take a drive down Union into the town and to the waterfront. There is enough to see for a good 1 or 2 walk including the Concord Point Lighthouse and the surround "wetlands".

My co-worker and I decided to give this place a try, since we were in Maryland and we still hadn't had crab yet. The prices here are very fair. We both ordered crab cakes. I also ordered some hush puppies, which came out first. They were pretty good, but very light, as far as hush puppies go. They crab cakes took a while to come out. I don't necessarily mind.. If they're freshly-made, they shouldn't be coming out quickly. When they came out, I was starving. Two crab cakes, some mashed potatoes, some Brussels sprouts, and a biscuit. The crab cakes were pretty good. Broiled, sweet and juicy, with a soft texture and a crisp shell. It was sitting on a cracker, which I could've done without, but it's not like it detracted from its taste/texture. The mashed potatoes were......pretty standard. No pieces of potato skin or chunks, which kind of disappointed me, because this establishment looks very homey. In fact, it looks like it used to be someone's residence before; so it felt like going over someone else's house for dinner and getting mashed potatoes that were whipped. The Brussels sprouts were good. I normally don't like them, but they weren't overcooked (no stink). The biscuit was excellent. Soft, very full texture. I was wishing it came with more than just one. All in all, it's a good place. I don't go to Aberdeen often, but this will be a regular place to visit every time I'm in the area.

Had occasion to visit Maryland (formerly home) in November. Big, Fat, Heavy, Crabs. Sure, they were Gulf Coast, but who cares? Absolutely Delicious. Didn't have a light or bad crab and went two times in three days, in December! Someone is keeping an eye on what they're getting. As for the menu, all my friends who live in the area say it's hit or miss. Not sure what part of cooking a consistent, across the board, recipe line-up these guys don't get (we're in the biz) and we know how! When I hit the tarmac at BWI my car heads straight for Price's! We ate there for years when we lived there. It's as good now as it ever was. They really should get the old Crab Chowder recipe back. It's not that difficult. It's New England style. Go. Go. Go.

Great service. Excellent food. Everything on the menu was reasonable, delicious and crab filled. Actual Crabs were pricey but they are hard to get this year because of the cold weather. With the Yelp coupon, the price was much better go for the 20 for 40 or plan to spend big bucks!

Friends who relocated to the area took us to Price's for a great dinner. The crabs were excellent.....steamed perfectly with salt / pepper and others with old bay or JO (not sure which they use). It should be noted to everyone, this isn't necessarily a tourist destination...and I say that because one needs to consider that a 5 star meal with a waiter standing in a tux 10 feet away waiting to pour you water or wine....this is more of a family style kind of operation. The price is par for crabs.....you probably could indeed find them cheaper, but what I was told is that by going here, the friends taking us have NEVER had never heard a bad experience there.....and I must say (like I did earlier) the crabs rival the ones I make on my own. They were very meating (however, I probably could have eaten a dozen on my own) We went mid week and didn't have as much of a problem getting a table or wait for crabs. I would certainly go again

I went to Price's seafood with a friend who has been going with his family for many years. He knew this small family run business in and out which was good because the crabs sold out by the time we got there for dinner. He knew that we needed to order ahead and we order 2 dozen for four of us. The hard shell crabs were really tasty! We got two pitchers of beer, some sweet potato fries and hush puppies to go along with the main course. The old bay seasoning they use was delicious and made my first hard shell crab experience very worthwhile. I definitely recommend price's to anyone who loves hard shell crabs. Mmmm! But remember, call ahead, at least 8 hours!

I ordered the seafood mac n' cheese and it was delicious however I had to pick shell out of my food. You should never have to pick shell out of your food especially if you're paying $23 for the dish. The waitress was very informative about the specials but was not very friendly. Smiling and feeling welcomed is very important to most.

We went looking for a decent crab place north of Baltimore. Price's is tucked away in a corner of Havre De Grace, but still was relatively easy to get to. They lack a true parking lot, but that didn't deter us; our party of 2 parked aside the hill adjacent and went inside. Right away you could see its one of those places where locals immediately felt at home, but even as a traveler, you did too. We were greeted warmly and our reservation for about a dozen large/jumbo crabs was honored. So was our Yelp coupon, which was great. The crabs here were really good. They have both the traditional old bay and price's own black pepper seasoning. I ended up liking the old bay a touch better, but every crab we ate was fresh, and very well cooked. Since we were sort of newbies, they showed us how to eat them the right way. It helped a lot in enjoying them. After picking apart crabs nearly to the close, Mark, the manager/owner came by to see how we were doing. He was awesome. He explained to us the history of the place, where he gets the crabs from (mostly local crabbers in the area) and told us about other clients who come from afar just to have crabs here. I can totally see why and would recommend trying them out. Overall, it was a great experience and we will be definitely back for some crab goodness soon.

From Philly to Maryland for some crabs. This place is a gem. The town of Havre de Grace is pretty unique. Once or twice a year we travel down to Prices and eat as many of the sweetest plumpest jumbo blues crabs in the world. I would have to say this place is amazing. The oldbay and prices pepper seasonings are the perfect complement to the sweet delicious crab meat. While you are here try the soft-shell, it is huge.

Went there Sunday with a very special friend. We shared a dozen medium crabs. They weren't real big, but for this time of the year they were pretty darn tasty. Service was excellent!

#1 Worst Dinning Experience - 5 May 2012 was the first and last time for me and my three friends at Price's Seafood. I made reservation for 7PM and preordered "LARGE" crabs for dinner. I WAS looking forward to dirtying my fingers with Price's crabs, a juicy burger, fries, few cold drinks and enjoying a birthday celebration of a friend. Moreover, this was to be my very first dinning experience at this restaurant. Well....the night didn't quite meet expectation. At 7pm.... My 3 friends and I walked inside the restaurant, sat down and waited for our server. Our waitress (Ronnie) was very prompt in acknowledging us. However, she quickly informed us that the restaurant does not take "preorders" and that no "large" crabs available for the evening. The crabs were not "RUNNING" and it is too early in the season for CRABS and "what would we like to drink?"...... UH??? What went wrong with my "RESERVATION" for 7PM and preordered "LARGE" crabs????? AND a huge "Small, Large and Jumbo " plastered across a wall next to the hostess's counter!!!!!!! My friends & I were served "Medium" crabs, an order of sweet potato fries and a pitcher of beer.... BTW "Ronnie " gave us her "OSCAR" worthy "Waitress from Hell " rendition. I should have taken my friends' suggestion earlier on by getting up and leaving.... I SHOULD HAVE!!!!!!! 60 minutes after enduring what was the most "atrocious" service from a waitress and a restaurant... She brought us the bill for the evening.... WE WERE CHARGED for LARGE crabs!!!!!!! Not even a "half star" for Price's Seafood in Havre de Grace, MD...Yelp does not have a "half" star rating......

There should be a mandate in Maryland that all official residents of the state need to get blue crabs AT LEAST once a year. If such a mandate were so then I would definitely recommend a trip to Prices seafood which is right on the water in Havre de Grace. The prices here were incredibly reasonable considering how bloated the prices for crabs are in the DC/Baltimore area. For a dozen of larges, two ears of corn, and a pitcher and pint of beer we were only billed $67. For the most part the crabs were quite heavy and not watery at all. They give you an option of what seasoning you want but if you don't get Old Bay then you should just leave my state. Our waitress was nice and attentive. We did make a reservation for our order which is definitely recommended as they can run out of crabs fairly early. All the crabs come from the Chesapeake so don't worry about getting a crustacean from somewhere else. Luckily this place was also completely stocked with band-aids as I was in dire need when I cut my finger on a shell very early into our dining venture. Getting Old-Bay in an open wound is not pleasant. The band-aid did get soggy from all the butter and it did burn. I had to soldier it.

This is a must for my family when we get to Maryland. I love Blue Crab, and have never had a bad one at this small family run restaurant. I had never had crabs seasoned with black pepper until I had them here, and I recommend it. Actually what I recommend is getting two orders of crab and mixing the old bay and the pepper up. You definitely NEED to order ahead, so they don't run out, and you can rest assured that they will all be Chesapeake Bay crabs. They also have some really good local beers on tap, and what goes better with crab, than beer. After the meal we were walking out and had to stop and enjoy the view of the water, the bridges, and the lighting bugs that were twinkling in the dusk. I really doesn't get any better.

I have been here twice. The first time the crabs we excellent, but the second time they were water logged. Fries and shrimp could be better. There aren't too many competitors that serve crabs in the area, but I would rather drive a bit to get them somewhere better or make them myself. Oh and the beer was good too!!

What a great find! Some of the best crabs I have ever eaten and Roni is a hoot as your server.

Amazing Fathers Day treat for our family! We read the grat reviews on line and decided to head in for crabs today. We couldn't have been happier. We called and made reservations for the crabs - this is suggested as they were busy for the weekend. The service was fantastic and the crabs were heavy. This place is a true find with a waterfront view in HdG!!

The fried shrimp appetizer (not on the menu) was large, succulent and hot out of the fryolator, it was delicious. The fish in the fish and chips on the other hand was perhaps the worse we have ever had. The accompanying fries were a satisfactory contingency and the slaw... Average. The atmosphere is certainly casual and comfortable but you should know that the shop is across the street from the water rather than on it. On the bright side, the crab plates looked fabulous and the patrons who ordered same seemed enthralled and content. The staff was great but our girl failed to make us aware of the specials and perhaps a more meaningful and memorable experience. It's not that I wouldn't go back but more like I'll try somewhere else as a first option

Score! Just the place for fresh, high calorie, sexy service seafood. Complainers have no excuses except for "blindness" if they failed to notice the coors light draft sale signs outside which reflect the seashore atmosphere. The crabcakes are without butter, but that creamy jalapeño sauce is better! The fancy shit is 2 blocks that way! The cute guys building the deck was a bonus. Now that's some fresh fish!

I've been to Price's twice now-- the first time my brother and I were driving through the area, and we tried it on a whim. He hadn't really eaten crab before, and the waitress explained how to crack open and eat the crabs. We started with gumbo, also sampled the crab cakes, and by the time we had finished the crabs we were fully satisfied! I enjoyed the experience so much that I returned about a month and a half later with my boyfriend. We had fantastic service (Kathy maybe?), and again, the food was delicious. I had the cream of crab soup and he had the seafood chili (scallops, crayfish, crabmeat, and white beans, in a tomato sauce). We then moved on to the crabs-- at first we were thinking we'd just sample the crabs, and have something else for a main course-- we asked the waitress if we could have just one or two, and she said they normally don't serve them like that but she'd check if maybe they had an uneven amount. The kitchen happened to have two available, and as we were enjoying them she came back again to let us know if we changed our mind and wanted a few more crabs, they also had four more of the jumbo crabs we could have if we wanted. We ended up deciding to go with the jumbo crabs, and boy am I glad we did! Additionally my boyfriend ordered their oyster stew (I know, this whole post makes me and everyone I hang out with sound like hogs, but true as that might be, Price's is the kind of place where everything sounds, and is, so good, you can't really get away with just ordering one thing!). The oyster stew, like everything else, was fantastic-- it must have contained two dozen oysters. He describes the soup as "perfect. Exactly what you'd want it to be."

Friendly and authentic crab house. Decent price for a dozen large crabs. Sides were excellent. and location was funky in a good way. You can watch the boats or the Amtrak trains passing by the window. Would definitely go again.

(4)Daren M.

(1)Tim T.
Awesome experience! Ronnie was super helpful and showed me the right way to clean the crab. Apparently they don't take Yelp coupons on holiday weekends.
(4)Marianne N.
Lol
(2)Jeff W.
Great place to grab a beer and dinner. Since the new management took over it has been fantastic. The outdoor dining area looks out on the Chesapeake Bay. Parking is plentiful and the food is tasty. They have a special seasoning for the crabs too.
(5)Brooke P.
(1)Charlie T.
But be warned: smallest crabcake I have ever been served. More like a crab meatbal. Everything else our party of 6 ordered was fantastic! Waitress/owner would not stop chatting and let us eat and talk amongst ourselves. Annoying!
(3)Maria P.
(1)Bob S.
Great food and staff. Down home feel with the dining tables covered in brown paper. I had the Crab Melt sandwich. Lots of crab. The Seafood Gumbo (soup of the day) was outstanding
(4)Susan K.
We were driving from the south back north and found this place on Yelp and partly came because of the discount check in offer. But they would accept it. Also they charge for each ice tea. Otherwise the food and service were good, except for the cole slaw.
(2)Jasmyn M.
The food was plentiful but the menu was very basic. The coupon/deal that I had was useful but due to the lack of choices I didnt spend $80. Its a nice whole in the wall place but I guess I expected more.
(2)J T L.
Their crab cakes & mac n cheese we not what we expected.
(2)James D.
(3)Lexie T.
The atmosphere is just so so. The staff is really friendly and eager to help. I wanted some MD crab but wasn't confident in my shelling crab abilities. Dorothy (waitress) jumped right in. Delish and fun!
(4)Tanya C.
(2)Eric V.
(4)Jason K.
(1)Madison W.
(2)Patricia M.
(3)Jennifer T.
(3)Stephanie M.

Good size mediums, a little too much old bay but loved how easy take out crabs were- allboxed up. Yum!

Expensive and the food is average. Not worth it unless you have a groupon or living social deal...

Great crabs!

We had crabs, seafood gumbo, cod sandwich, etc From our heritage we eat a lot of seafood, she's Chinese im Greek, this is excellent seafood, fresh and very tasty. This place has a 1940's crab house look which is very cool,we will be going there again.

(4)Gregory R.
Soft shell crab special was phenomenal. Crab cake was delicious and actually made mostly of crab (very little bread crumb filler). Service was exceedingly friendly. Can't think of a compelling reason not to hie this place 5 stars...
(5)Jennifer L.

(3)Ford J.
Great crab and seafood! It is exactly what you want if you are looking for Maryland crab!
(5)Judy W.
I have had better in Dundalk, MD . . .
(2)Thomas D.
(1)Y. N.
(4)Iida H.
(4)John B.
(1)Dean C.
(5)Darrin L.
Everything very good. Had seafood Mac & Cheese; crab cakes; fish & chips; pulled pork. Definitely would return when in the area!
(4)Terrell O.
(2)Frank M.
(5)Kate B.
Never a disapointment! Great crabs and crab-pairings. Laid back atmosphere and attentive staff.
(5)Wendy F.
(4)Michael Y.
(5)Diana D.
(5)Trena K.
(5)Mecca L.
the crabcakes were tasty but a tad underdone for my taste. the green beans had tons of ham throughout (not a plus, IMHO) the waitress was sweet even though forgetful and the yelp deal was worth it!
(3)Adam C.
(5)Lynn T.
The customer service was terrible! I had to wait to be seated almost 20 min. Also the Seafood Mac & Cheese was HORRIBLE!
(1)Jamie P.

(5)Joanne P.
(4)Donna M.
(5)Lynn C.
Great service and the fish and chips was great.
(4)Eric G.
(4)Rich P.
Crab soup was good. Caesar salad with crab was also good. This is a crab shack. Not fancy at all.
(3)Grace K.
(4)Brian M.
(4)Issac K.

Go. Go. Go.
(5)Patrice D.
Great service. Excellent food. Everything on the menu was reasonable, delicious and crab filled. Actual Crabs were pricey but they are hard to get this year because of the cold weather. With the Yelp coupon, the price was much better go for the 20 for 40 or plan to spend big bucks!
(4)Tom B.
(4)Gabe F.
(4)Jody O.
(3)Ken F.
(5)Mike C.
(5)Patrick W.

(5)Andy H.
(5)Andrew E.
I have been here twice. The first time the crabs we excellent, but the second time they were water logged. Fries and shrimp could be better. There aren't too many competitors that serve crabs in the area, but I would rather drive a bit to get them somewhere better or make them myself. Oh and the beer was good too!!
(3)Eric R.

If you go here, don't order anything but the crab special. Horrible service too.
